Privacy

olhocarro.pt only keeps what it needs to show you prices, save your cars and send the alerts you ask for. This page lists all of it. (Template text — have it reviewed before launch.)

Browsing and searching

Nothing personal. When you search for a model we record the request against a salted, one-way hash of your connection — enough to stop abuse, never reversible to your address.

Your account

E-mail, a hashed password (Argon2), optional name, whether you buy for yourself or as a dealer (and company details if you add them), your language, your preferences and when you accepted the terms.

Saved cars

Which cars you saved, with their price and saving at that moment so we can tell you about price drops.

Followed searches

The filters you follow and how often you want to hear about new cars.

Alerts

What we told you and when, so you can see it in your inbox.

Decisions

If you record that you contacted, bought or sold a car, we keep it to improve our estimates.

Sessions

A random session token in an HttpOnly cookie. Signing out deletes it on our side.

Your rights

From your account page you can download everything we hold about you as a file, and delete your account. Deleting removes your account, saved cars, followed searches, alerts and sessions; anonymous statistics we learn from (for example that a model was searched) are kept without any link to you.
