Import a Mercedes-Benz A-Class from Germany

ISV depends on the version: engine size, CO₂ emissions (WLTP or NEDC), fuel and the car’s age. Electric versions are exempt and plug-in hybrids with at least 50 km of electric range may pay a reduced rate. Use the ISV calculator with the figures from the registration document or the COC.

German adverts list it as “A-Klasse”. We search the German marketplaces under that name and match each advert to comparable cars for sale in Portugal.

The German registration documents (Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil I and II), the invoice or purchase contract and ideally the Certificate of Conformity (COC). With them you file the customs declaration (DAV), pass the type-B inspection and register the car.
